Hassan Fawaz was interviewed in the Military Police Interview Room, UN Post 2-45, UNIFIL, South Lebanon on 7th March 2018 for the Military Archives Oral History Project. His interview is part of a series of interviews recorded in Lebanon in March 2018 to mark forty years of Irish service in the country with UNIFIL. Hassan Fawaz worked as an interpreter with Irish Battalions in Lebanon from 1981 to 2001, he continued working as an interpreter with UNIFIL until 2013.
