Major General Michael Beary was interviewed for the Military Archives Oral History Project at UNIFIL Headquarters, Naqoura, South Lebanon. He speaks about his family's tradition of military service and his decision to join the Defence Forces. He discusses his cadet training and his extensive service overseas. At the time of this interview Major General Beary was serving as UNIFIL Force Commander stationed in Naqoura. He speaks about the 10,500 strong force and his role as Force Commander.
