Location(s): Majdel Silim
Length: 2.23

In this clip Abass shares his recollections of going out with UN patrols, travelling from village to village, during Operation Grapes of Wrath. During a foot patrol in the village of Majdal Silim he met a man and his son who had been reported on the news as being killed. Abass lent him his mobile phone to contact his family to tell them they were alive. Abass discusses the enjoyment he gets from his work 'I'm in a place where I can play [a] good role, helping people...saving peoples' lives, facilitating such kind of life for others. This by itself is the test of living, not to be living in this life as a useless . . . either you are there or not . . .'
