She draws comparisons between Operation Grapes of Wrath in 1996 and the 2006 war. Military Archives Note: The Qana massacre took place on 18 April 1996 when Israeli Defence Forces artillery shells landed on a United Nations Fijian compound at Qana, killing more than one hundred Lebanese civilians who had taken shelter there.
